We love garage pop party starters Empat Lima and their new video for ‘Bowie on the Beach’ has made us fall in love even more. The psychedelic trip of a clip featuring neon surf waves, dolphin fun and surreal soundscapes was co-directed and edited by the very talented Steph Brett and Sooji Kim.

Drawing influence from eclectic sounds the ’60s Asian/Western explosion, the trio traverse the worlds of psychedelic Thai, traditional Japanese epics and dreamy Indonesian pop to soundtrack balmy nights of dancing A- go-go.

‘Bowie on the Beach’ is just a teaser of what to expect from the band’s upcoming LP, which was recorded by John Lee at Phaedra studios and hopefully set for release in the not too distant future. Check tout the video below and if you like what you’re hearing and seeing (and why wouldn’t you!?) pop by the Empat Lima Facebook page for more info on upcoming shows and releases.
