One of our favourite slacker rock champions Doctopus are the latest band to be featured on RTRFM’s killer ‘View From Here’ live series.
Born in North Perth and residing from their spiritual home of The Bird, Doctopus have toured Australia and the USA with good pals Pond, stumbled over the stages of Groovin’ the Moo and Camp Doogs and earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most ridiculously fun live bands in Perth.
Captured by local filmmaker, animator and producer Sam Price and produced by RTRFM, the series was recently nominated for Excellence in Digital Media in the 2015 Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s Community Radio Awards.
The View From Here short film series launched in November 2014 with support from the Department of Culture and the Arts, and aims to showcase the wellspring of talent in Western Australia’s music scene, across a variety of genres and locations.
