Sunshine Coast based post-metal outfit Pave Paradise have recently unleashed their stunning five track EP following an exciting announcement they they’ve teamed up with new Australian Label, Elevnth Records.

A follow on from their debut single ‘Forgotten’ which was premiered by Triple J’s Short Fast Loud, the self-titled EP sees the band push their sound beyond the constraints of the post-metal genre to create a debut release any heavy rock band would be proud of.

To celebrate its release the guys have given us a track by track run down of the record which you can chef out below. For more info on the band and upcoming releases pop by the Pave Paradise Facebook page for more info.

Let Me Go

This track was one of the first songs to be put together and I didn’t really think anything would even come of it. The whole song is based around one riff which is slightly varied throughout with a cool chorus and beat down slapped in there to change it up.

Forgotten

Putting together this song was a lot of fun. We really approached this track with the idea of making a catchy song with a good structure. Over all I think we pulled it off pretty well as its one of my favourite tracks hence why we released it as a single.

Wasting Away

This song is pretty straight forward with a simple break down at the start and some really cool riffs throughout then finishes off with another break down. The approach was to use the basic rule that sometimes less is more. This song will be good one to play live.

Stone Hearts

This is another track with the idea of putting something together with good structure and a big chorus. I think the break down is this song will be nuts live.

Endless

This was the last track put together and was done super quick. It came out as one of the heaviest without a doubt and in my opinion one of the best on the EP.
