Heavy music fans rejoice, as it’s this weekend that Amity Affliction, A Day To Remember, Hands Like Houses and Motionless In White will be kicking off their massive (as the title suggests) Big Ass Tour.

One of the bands we’re particularly excited about is Motionless In White, one of the hottest bands in metal core, who are back in town off the back of two performances on Soundwave Festival in recent years, this time with their highly successful third album Reincarnate (2014), which debuted at #13 on the ARIA charts and #9 on the Billboard 200, in tow.

To celebrate their visit the band have curated a killer ‘spooky’ themed mixtape which you can check out below to get in the mood.

Marilyn Manson – ‘This Is Halloween’

One of my favorite covers ever done. I love the original Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack and this is my favorite song from the movie.

Rob Zombie – ‘Teenage Nosferatu Pussy’

This became my favorite Rob Zombie song when he released his most recent record. We toured Mayhem Fest with him a few years back, and he opened with this song every night. It was the best live show I’ve ever seen.

Misfits – ‘Skulls’

“Collect the heads of little girls and put ‘em on my wall.” Danzig is just so romantic, haha.

Motionless In White – ‘Dead As Fuck’

Maybe some shameless self-promotion… Maybe just a badass song about dead girls. You decide.

Calabrese – ‘Voices Of The Dead’

This is one of the catchiest horror punk songs to ever exist. The music video is inspired by Plan 9 From Outer Space and I love what these guys are doing.

Old Wounds – ‘Rest In Piss’

I’m dying to tour with this band. They are a fairly new band that, to me, sounds like the best of 2000’s metalcore/hardcore and the heavier side of AFI. It’s so rad to see other bands trying to keep music that I love alive.

Himsa – ‘Girl In Glass’

This song makes me emotional every time I hear it. It was my introductory song to Himsa and it changed my life forever, making Himsa one of my favorite bands ever. Their singer John Pettibone rocked a devilock, all black was super pissed. I was sold immediately.

Bleeding Through – ‘Dearly Demented’

Anyone who knows me knows that Bleeding Through is my absolute favorite band to ever exist. They called their fan club the Dearly Demented after one of their songs on their album The Truth and it’s always held a special place in my heart.

Tiger Army – ‘Forever Fades Away’

Having grown up listening to artists like Johnny Cash and Elvis, I immediately loved Tiger Army after hearing how Nick 13 sang and the country/rockabilly sound that they had. This song is just a great track with a great melody and always reminds me up my musical upbringing

AFI – ‘Days Of The Phoenix’

Back before Motionless was a band, I was in a local cover band and we covered this song all the time. I wanted to be Davey so bad.
