It’s likely that some of you reading this are still recovering from the latest instalment of Falls Festival, which recently took place over the New Year’s period at Marion Bay, Byron Bay, and Mt Duneed Estate, which replaced the traditional Lorne venue.

No doubt you’re swigging from a bottle of Hydralyte and looking back on all the memories you made at “the most individual expression of creativity barricaded behind police checkpoints and fences where you’re truly free to be yourself and escape the crushing stigma of herd mentality”.

At least, that’s how Aussie YouTuber Friendlyjordies described the beloved annual summer festival. In the video below, the comedian presents a very tongue-in-cheek take on the event, zeroing in on the punters that make their way to Falls each year.

“Are you pretending to be stressed out from the three uni subjects you do a semester to stay on Youth Allowance?” he asks at the top of the video, presenting Falls as the perfect place for young people to go and out-hip each other.
