One of Australia’s most trusted promoters has welcomed a new addition to their company and a former higher-up for one of Australia’s biggest festivals has an exciting new job. Aussie promoter Destroy All Lines has welcomed Chris O’Brien to the fold.

O’Brien is best known as being AJ Maddah’s second in command at Soundwave, serving as general manager of one of Australia’s biggest touring festivals. He will take on the role of General Manager of Touring at Destroy All Lines.

The former Soundwave staffer has more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian music industry, particularly in the heavy music scene, having helmed a record label, countless small venues, a booking agency, and a management company.

“I am thrilled to be heading up this passionate team of music lovers with a renewed core focus to work alongside our artists to continually develop and nurture their careers within Australia. It’s also an incredible opportunity to be working alongside industry leaders in Chugg Entertainment,” he said.

Meanwhile, Destroy All Lines owner Ben Turnbull added, “I am very excited to welcome Chris O’Brien to the team. The addition of his knowledge, experience and leadership means 2016 is off to a great start for Destroy All Lines.”

Destroy All Lines have been one of Australia’s busiest promotions companies for more than 13 years, having toured the likes of Descendents, All Time Low, Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, American Football, The Story So Far, Dropkick Murphys, and more.
