If you could, just for a moment, curb your cynical inclinations and actually listen to the new Wolfmother track, ‘Gypsy Caravan’, with an open mind, you might actually find yourself enjoying it.

We already know what you’re thinking: “Ooh, a new Wolfmother track? Let me guess, does it sound like Led Zeppelin? Does it sound like Black Sabbath? Is there a big riff, wailing vocals, and fantasy-esque lyrics?”

Yes, it does and there are. But it’s also one of the best tracks the Andrew Stockdale-led outfit have produced since their 2005 debut, which gave us bangers like ‘Woman’, ‘White Unicorn’, and ‘Joker & the Thief’ – all songs you’ve rocked out to, don’t lie.

While Wolfmother are largely a punchline for the more cynical Aussie music fans, we defy you not to bop your head along to this cut from the band’s upcoming fourth LP, Victorious. Oh, who are we kidding? You’ll probably just hate it anyway.
