This week has seen an overwhelming outpouring of tributes to the late David Bowie, the music icon who sadly passed away earlier this week after a secret battle with cancer, aged 69.

In honour of the multi-talented pop legend’s incredible legacy, Australian singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko performed a special Bowie Like A Version cover on triple j this morning.

Blasko performed an incredibly moving rendition of Bowie’s iconic tune ‘Life On Mars’, stripping the arrangement back to just a piano, a synth, and Blasko’s powerful vocals.

The cover follows on from Gang of Youths’ cover of Bowie’s ‘Heroes’, which the group dropped earlier this week to a rave reception from fans and fellow musicians alike.
