“You know you’re at a Violent Soho concert when everyone is singing different lyrics,” writes Australian musician Eddie Salazar of the band Double Lined Minority, and he’s not wrong.

Eddie recently wanted to cover the Violent Soho banger ‘Dope Calypso’, but ran into a bit of a roadblock when he realised he can’t discern any of the lyrics and Google didn’t prove useful.

Instead of wallowing in despair, Eddie instead opted to simply go all Weird Al Yankovic on everybody’s asses and parody the song, substituting his own words.

There’s certainly no bad blood from Violent Soho, either. In fact, they’re fans of the parody, commenting, “Holy shit! This is the best!” and letting Eddie know he got the words “spot on”.
