Road to Refuge’s summer fundraiser, Gimme Shelter!, is coming to Melbourne’s Shadow Electric this Saturday, 6th February, with a stacked lineup headlined by Garreth Liddiard of The Drones.

Joining Garreth will be Ben Abraham, The Harpoons DJs, Nhattyman, Arthur Penn & the Funky Ten, and Cable Ties, with comedy from Tom Ballard and Isabel and Rachel.

Road to Refuge launched in 2012, the brainchild of a group of passionate young people with a vision of creating a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation dedicated to refugee awareness.

The organisation is responsible for organising school and adult workshops and a range of community events that spark conversations about refugees and those seeking safety in Australia.

All Gimme Shelter! proceeds will go towards Road to Refuge’s 2016 projects and workshops to spark “a more inclusive and constructive dialogue in Australia towards those seeking safety”.
