As if it wasn’t bad enough that he wasn’t included in the recent triple j Hottest 100, in addition to that little snub at 2003 Australian Idol finale, Shannon Noll was not added to the 2016 Groovin The Moo lineup.

The lineup was announced this morning, featuring the likes of Alison Wonderland, Danny Brown, Mutemath, Twenty One Pilots, British India, Harts, and The Rubens, but not a single mention of Nollsy to be found anywhere.

This is despite the fact that a Change.org petition calling for his addition to the lineup garnered 6,287 signatures and the Get Shannon Noll to Groovin The Moo 2016 Facebook page managed to accrue almost 10,000 supporters.

Nollsy himself even said he’d be up for the gig, telling fans he would take the gig if offered, leading everybody to wonder just what the hell happened? If Nollsy was up for it then what could possibly have gone wrong?

Naturally, the Australian public is upset, with the admin of GSNTGTM16 writing, “Shocked, upset, angry, confused… These are only a few words to describe how I feel right now. I have let every single one of you down. I am so so sorry. I am a broken man.”

Many took to social media shattered Nollsy wasn’t announced on the otherwise stellar lineup for the regional touring festival. After all, we’re talking about the man behind the 33rd biggest selling album in Australia.

‘What about me?’ indeed.
