“Whenever there are expectations, or whenever there is a formula set, that’s the time to change direction,” explains Ecca Vandal. “That is essentially the essence of this – pivoting whenever anyone senses there’s a trend, or challenging myself to go in a different direction.”

That’s why she today, without warning, decided to drop her debut EP, End of Time, heralding the arrival of a bold and boundary-pushing new Australian artist and adding to the young musician’s already impressive and ever-expanding repertoire.

The EP is loaded with the one-two punch of ‘End of Time’ and previous single ‘Battle Royal’ as well as three new cuts – ‘Truth 2 Trade’, ‘Divided’, and ‘Running At People Exiting’. Together, the songs make up one of the most ferocious EPs to come out of Australia in a long time.

Born in South Africa and bearing Sri Lankan heritage, the Melbourne-based singer, producer, and performer first cocked the ears of the Aussie music scene with her captivating and unique persona and her refusal to be boxed in by any one genre, image, or style.
