Cat Power has announced the cancellation of her upcoming Australian tour dates, citing health reasons. In a statement, tour promoters insisted the cancelled dates would be rescheduled.

All of the singer’s Australian and New Zealand performances, including her shows at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Monday, 8th February and Tuesday, 9th February, are affected.

All tickets purchased will be valid for Power’s rescheduled tour. Otherwise, refunds can be obtained from the Melbourne Recital Centre Box Office.

Power suffers from Hereditary Angioedema, a rare, potentially fatal blood disease. The condition previously caused her to postpone some European dates in 2012, all of which were rescheduled.

“This is the first time in an 18-year touring history with Australia that [Power] has been forced to postpone any shows and she is determined to make it back ASAP and in good health,” a statement reads.

Rescheduled dates will be advised shortly. Check below for all the affected Australian dates or to watch Power’s music video for ‘Manhattan’, from her 2012 album, Sun.
