My Morning Jacket have revealed that their follow up to 2008’s Evil Urges will be due for release next May. Frontman Jim James said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine “I’m really excited… It’s all live, so the vibe is really, really good, really wholesome. There’s something about it.” They have already completed 5 tracks, which are being recorded in a Louisville church by The Decembrists’ producer, Tucker Martine.

The as-yet untitled LP will be the Kentucky band’s sixth studio effort.
