triple j’s The Hook Up is a new show all about love – making it, falling in it, and most of all, talking about it. Hosted by Hannah Reilly, The Hook Up will have its debut episode at 9pm this Sunday night.

“It’s like Sex Ed but good,” reads a statement from triple j, and considering the cast of names they’ve already nabbed to come in and talk about the birds and the bees, you can bet this isn’t like you’re awkward Year 9 health class.

Reilly will be bringing in experts, artists, comedians, musicians, and friends as they “get graphic about their love lives… and help you out with yours”. That’s right, don’t be too shy to get in touch, because nothing’s off limits.

The first episode sees Reilly, a 23-year-old writer, comedian, and presenter from Sydney, discussing the “myth and truths of the hymen” before Adam Hyde from Peking Duk and Luke Debbz from Hermitude come in to reveal how they lost their virginity.

Upcoming shows will include discussions about Sex and Consent; Digital Love, from profile pics to online lurking; and Valentine’s Day Singles Retreats; and getting the most out of self-pleasure.

You can hear the show live on triple j at 9pm every Sunday, listen back to the whole show on the ABC Radio Player, or download the podcast from the triple j website and iTunes.
