You may know Iggy Pop and Henry Rollins best as the shirtless, sweaty frontmen of two of the most important punk rock bands of all time, but deep down they just want to do something for the kids.

As FasterLouder reports, the pair recently appeared as a pair of thieving weasels (literally) who steal an ice skating trophy in an episode of the Disney animated series Sheriff Callie’s Wild West.

Pop and Rollins lent their instantly recognisable voices to the Silverado Brothers, a harebrained weasel duo who run afoul of the titular Sheriff Callie, who’s voiced by pop singer Mandy Moore, in a recent episode.

“I enjoyed being part of a team of fast moving, hysterical varmints on Sheriff Callie,” Rollins said. “The fact that the other half of the duo was Iggy Pop made it all the better. I don’t care that we got busted! I had a blast.”

Pop added, “I always enjoy a good cackle with Henry Rollins.” You can check out Pop and Rollins’ cameos below, which includes a mock interview in which Rollins gushes about his love for Sheriff Callie’s Wild West.

Executive Producer Holly Huckins says the casting was obvious as today’s rock stars are like the outlaws of the Wild West: “They’re always running from screaming mobs, their faces end up on posters, and their bad boy antics are the stuff of legends.”

“They’ve got great voices. Second, they’ve got great swagger, and all of our bandits and horse rustlers have that in spades. But mostly, because they like to have fun,” Huckins added.

Among the other musicians to make cameos in the latest season of Sheriff Callie are singer Chris Isaak, who plays singing horse bandit Johnny Strum and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, who plays thieving wildcat Milk Bandit.
