Iconic local songwriter Mia Dyson is currently gear up to release her new EP Right There the follow on from her stunning 2014 LP Idyllwild which saw her take out the J Award for Double J Artist of the Year and continue her rise both here at home and in the US, where she now shares her time.

Today she’s unveiling the title track from the EP which sees Dyson continued to tread her own path traversing between alt folk and guitar driven rock.

The upcoming EP was written alongside her husband over the past year and a half, after tailoring a track around a selection of her partner’s poetry, the Right There EP promise to be a crisp, folk-rock release, layered with elements of soul, blues and heartfelt indie-rock as Mia explains:

“My husband Karl and I have been writing together for over a year, since I put one of his poems to music. We loved the process so much that the entire EP was written together.”

Right There will be out February 19th via MGM Distribution and accompanied by a national tour. For now check out the latest single below and if you like what you’re hearing pop by Mia’s Facebook page for more info.
