Some time has passed since the tragic death of rock legend and pop culture icon David Bowie and we’ve all gotten used to the idea of a world where the Thin White Duke is no longer pushing boundaries and changing perspectives.

Apparently, one Sydney cremation company took this as a sign that it’s time to capitalise on the late singer’s death and did so in a way that’s already elicited a few groans from anyone who happened to pick up yesterday’s paper.

“Classy back page ad in the Sun Herald,” wrote Ashleigh Wilson, arts editor for The Australian, on Twitter yesterday, alongside an ad for No Funral, No Flowers, No Fuss, who referenced Bowie in an ad spruiking their cremation services.

“Just like David Bowie,” the ad opens, before advertising “full service cremation” for $3,300 and directing readers to the company’s website and 1300 number. Classy indeed. Readers can check out the tasteless ad below.
