We don’t know about you, but we’ve been absolutely craving some good, old-fashioned Australian garage rock. Oh look, a new track from DZ Deathrays? Don’t mind if we do.

‘Blood On My Leather’ is the raucous new offering from the Queensland two-piece, who are currently gearing up to join the Groovin The Moo tour as they continue work on their new album.

The new track is a standalone single, but rest assured the new album is coming Shane Parsons (vocals and guitar) and Simon Ridley (drummer) told triple j this afternoon.

“We’re still working on it,” the boys said. “We’re putting together demos at the moment and we had this song and we were in the studio and thought ‘oh stuff it, let’s just put it out now’.”

‘Blood On My Leather’ was recorded with producer Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, The Drones) and features guest vocals from Sweetie of Sydney punk trio Bloods.
