Back in July last year, we wrote about what we at the time thought might be the most bogan piece of music merchandise we’ve ever seen. It was a partnership between the band KISS and Collingwood Football Club and resulted in an abominably bad T-shirt.

Leave it to AC/DC to show the yanks how it’s done. The legendary hard rockers have just unveiled their own series of limited edition AC/DC Bourbon & Cola and sure enough, they’re promoting the new, unapologetically ocker venture with the hashtag #showusurcans.

AC/DC’s Bourbon & Cola will be issued in various designs based on the band’s iconic album covers. The designs will be released periodically throughout 2016, with the first based on the band’s latest album, Rock or Bust, which AC/DC are currently touring in the US.

Bogan AF, but we can’t snicker at it too hard because the band have paired it with their new AC/DC Let There Be Rock Fund, which is set to launch in March. The competition invited up-and-coming Aussie bands and artists to cover their favourite AC/DC song in any genre or style they choose.

In return, they go in the draw to win “some incredible prizes and once-in-a-lifetime industry experiences”. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the AC/DC collectible cans will go directly into the LTBR Fund, which will grow in value over the course of the campaign.

Those who purchase the cans will also have a chance to win some sick prizes, including signed Gibson SG Specials. All you have to do is grab a can and support the fund by posting images on your social media channels using the hashtag #showusurcans.
