Remi and Sensible J are a scene unto themselves. They first caught the attention of Aussie music lovers with their single ‘Sangria’, which managed to crash the triple j Hottest 100.

They followed up the success of that single with the album Raw X Infinity, which won the prestigious Australian Music Prize and received acclaim from fans and critics alike.

The duo have also stayed busy by launching their own label and Remi has been active in the local hip-hop community, hosting events like the Vic Bar’s hip-hop trivia night.

With their very own Australian hip-hop empire at their feet, this two-man team are currently gearing up for their follow-up release, Divas and Demons, to be released on their own label.

They discussed the album during their recent appearance on the Anatomy Podcast, also touching on how they go about creating music and how they use it to highlight inequalities in Australian society.

Previous Anatomy Podcast episodes have featured illuminating interviews with Courtney Barnett’s manager and triple j veteran Zan Rowe, who took us into the station’s biggest year to date.
