Australian musician HOWQUA has taken to his official Facebook page to appeal to fans for help after his beloved 1989 Ford Econovan was stolen whilst parked in St Kilda yesterday. Several items of gear and irreplaceable personal items were inside.

“It breaks my heart to share this news but yesterday my beloved 1989 Ford Econovan was stolen from St Kilda,” he writes. “It was filled with a bunch of musical gear including my PA and 2 keyboards as well as a bunch of irreplaceable personal stuff.”

As HOWQUA writes, the personal belongings include “letters, a hard drive, birthday cards and the calendar I used in ‘My Mindset’ video”. However, in a stroke of luck, the musicians’s guitars were not inside of the vehicle when it was stolen.

“I’ve lost my guitar pedals, all my leads, my go pro, microphones and heaps of other things that I would really love back. Besides all this, my van is super special to me,” he continues.

“To many it may be just an old piece of crap that struggles to hit 100kms/hr but to me it was one of the few things I own as a self funded musician and [it’s] like a little home. I did my whole Australian tour in this beast and I love her to bits.”

“She really stands out with the black and white two tone and has black squares on the side panels (rego: ZUX 294). If you see her anywhere on the road please hit me or the police up and if you could share this amongst your friends to improve our chances of finding her that would be amazing and greatly appreciated.”

If you have any information, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online via the link here.
