It’s time for twee indie kids to come out of their bedroom and stop listening to obscure seven inches and reading poetry because Belle & Sebastian have announced a new album. Entitled Belle & Sebastian Write About Love, the cover features a not entirely unexpected a picture of a pretty girl in a vintage dress. It was recorded in Los Angeles and will probably have about 14 songs.
Unfortunately, that’s about all there is to tell you as there is no release date on the horizon at this stage and no single waiting in the wings as yet. However, it will prevent their fans from sobbing into their pillows uncontrollably as there was a fear amongst them that after front man Stuart Murdoch released a solo offering last year, the band was over. According to their website, ‘they are “not planning to speak too much to the press this time round.”
