The saucer eyed dancer for the Happy Mondays, Bez, has been convicted of assault in a Manchester Court. Bez – known to his Mum as Mark Berry – claimed he was acting in self defence after a fight broke out between he and his ex-girlfriend over missing gig money which he accused her of stealing, while also labeling the proceedings a ‘kangaroo court’.
The past winner of Celebrity Big Brother confronted Monica Ward when he couldn’t find the money – probably forgetting the old maxim that only users lose drugs and money. Ward told the judge “He accused me of stealing money which I did not. I told him he had put down the money somewhere and forgotten where he had put it, he has a history of mislaying things.” The judge found in her favour, convicting Bez of assault. He will be sentenced later this month.
