As recorded music sales continue to dwindle, the global concert market is booming and there’s one company that’s reaping the most from its bullish state – Live Nation Entertainment.

Live Nation is the world’s biggest concert and events promoter, consistently putting on massive tours by huge artists around the world, as well as a roster of prominent festivals.

2015 saw Live Nation putting on some 25,000 concerts drawing more than 63 million fans, and saw many lucrative additions to its portfolio, including Tennessee’s Bonnaroo music festival.

They recently linked up with Australian heavy music outlet UNFD to form a new touring company that’s already announced tours from Bring Me The Horizon and Northlane and In Hearts Wake.

So how much money does the world’s biggest concert promoter bring in? According to the AAP, Live Nation reported revenue of $7.6 billion in 2015, up 11 percent from the previous year.

The company’s operating profit was $155.9 million, a new record and considerably higher than 2014. However, foreign exchange rates saw the company take a $34 million hit in the fourth quarter.

Interestingly, the strongest growth sector for Live Nation was advertising and sponsorship and the company has been lauded for its ability to introduce brands to the millennial market.

Live Nation is predicting its 2015 growth will continue into 2016 and they have plans to increase the number of shows they do worldwide and maybe even bring Download Festival Down Under.
