We’ve been waiting on the full-length debut from Peking Duk for a while now and according to a recent interview with triple j, things are “going really, really well” on that front.

We should think so, anyway. They’ve just unveiled the list of collaborators set to appear on the album and it’s a smorgasbord of musical talent from both at home and abroad.

“We have been touring a lot but whenever there’s a second to work on tunes we’ve been seizing the moment,” they told Zan Rowe. “Like when Elliphant was in the country; got in the studio with her for four days straight.”

In addition to sessions with the Swedish ragamuffin, the boys have hit the studio with Julia Stone, Jarryd James, and former Silverchair frontman-gone-solo Daniel Johns.

“We’ve been working with lots of people and it’s really exciting,” they boys added, “we feel good about the music but we’re just trying to really knuckle down at the moment. There’s a couple songs we really want to nail to put out soon.”

The boys plan on sharing some of the new tracks with fans during their national tour, which kicked off last night after they had to reschedule their Perth date to take advantage of another songwriting opportunity.

“It’s gonna be dope,” they said of the tour. “We’re definitely going to be playing some music that we’ve been working on that no-one’s heard before and we got a few surprises in store so make sure you come on down.”
