I Killed The Prom Queen will go down in the annals of Australian rock history for being one of the pioneering entities of the metalcore genre Down Under, helping to foster a scene that bands like Northlane, In Hearts Wake, Parkway Drive, and more call home.

It all began with their acclaimed 2003 debut, which they backed up with their first international tour the following year, signing to a renowned international record label that same year, and paving the path for the likes of Parkway Drive and The Amity Affliction to find international success.

In 2005, Prom Queen regrouped in Sweden to record what would become their devastating sophomore album. Released in the winter of 2006, Music For The Recently Deceased would go on to hold a special place in the canon of Australian heavy music and in the record collections of fans.

Now, 10 years on, I Killed The Prom Queen are set to perform “a short string of shows around Australia”, playing songs from Music For The Recently Deceased to celebrate the monumental album and 16 years as one of Australia’s favourite bands.
