Tame Impala chief Kevin Parker has gone ahead and done bandmate Jay Watson a solid by lending his unique psychedelic vision to the lead single from Watson’s latest album as GUM, Glamorous Damage, which came out last year.

Parker recently remixed GUM’s synth-funk number ‘Anesthetized Lesson’, with Watson telling Pitchfork that the Tame Impala frontman’s take on the song embellishes its dance music influences and references.

“While I was recording the album I was listening to a lot of dance music and while it was a big influence, my mixing of the album didn’t really reflect that,” Watson reportedly said in a statement.

“When Kev offered to do a remix of ‘Anesthetized Lesson’ I jumped at the chance because I knew he could make it sound wild. He didn’t let me down!” Watson added. Check out the remix below.
