We all know The Living End as the creators of some of the Australian rock and roll canon’s most fiery and politically switched-on punk anthems. They’re one of the last Aussie bands we’d ever see selling out.

But they did just that as part of a new segment on Triple M where bands are effectively asked to Sell Out. The Living End were in the Triple M studio and asked to cover an old ad jingle to christen the segment.

After much deliberation, they settled on the iconic Ajax Spray & Wipe commercial, because the band members all apparently had a crush on Paula Duncan, the star of the famous ’90s ad who was listening and called in afterwards.

If you don’t remember the ads (there was a whole series of them that stretched well into the 2000s), they involved Duncan singing a song about how she solved the problems of her friends and family using Spray & Wipe (check one out below).
