Boasting more than a million albums sold worldwide, ARIA Award winners The Temper Trap are back and now they’ve finally announced the details of their eagerly anticipated third album, Thick As Thieves, which is out 10th June.
To celebrate the news, the band have unveiled another single from the album, ‘Fall Together’, which is a throwback to the epic atmospherics, beautifully layered instrumentation, and Olympian vocals that first endeared the band to fans.
The making of Thick As Thieves saw the band collaborating with outside songwriters for the first time, including Justin Parker (Lana Del Rey, Sia, Bat For Lashes), Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter), and Malay (Frank Ocean).
“Finally it’s here! No one can accuse us of rushing things,” the band said. “We’re definitely slow burners when it comes to writing albums so we’re beyond excited to share these new songs with you. Dougy’s melodies are uplifting and the music has grit and attitude.”
“It’s an album filled with hope, raw energy and a passion that reminds us of our early days in the band.” The band recently announced their first Australian live shows in three years and all the dates have now officially sold out.
