If you’re attending one of the great, free Prince tribute nights happening around Australia this weekend, you’ll be chuffed to know the Prince marathon doesn’t have to conclude once you’re home and removing your purple clothing.
ABC’s Friday and Saturday late-night staple rage are planning two weekends’ worth of Prince tributes, starting tonight with some choice clips played before regular rage programming and a full-blown special next weekend.
“We’re still in shock over Prince but the much awaited question – When will you be seeing the Rage tribute?” rage write. “At the start of each show this weekend we’ll honour Prince with a few choice clips that are close to our hearts.”
However, they’re saving the big guns for next weekend. “The weekend after (30th April) we’ll be having a full blown Prince special,” they continue. We’re talking nothing but PRINCE. This way we can organise the best dedication/special you’ve ever seen!”
As they note, it’s “nothing but the best for our Prince”. So that’s our Saturday night plans sorted for next weekend. As Prince was behind some of the most original and iconic music videos of all time, this not something any self-respecting Prince fan will want to miss.
