AC/DC’s decision to tap Axl Rose to replace ailing frontman Brian Johnson has not been exactly popular. If you need anymore proof, Blabbermouth reports some 7,000 Belgian fans who bought tickets to see AC/DC at Werchter Festivalpark this month have requested refunds.

According to Blabbermouth, Beglian Acca Dacca fans aren’t too keen on seeing an Axl-fronted AC/DC. Live Nation, who are promoting the show, gave fans until Monday night to claim their refunds and now a sizeable portion of the audience will be receiving their money back.

The first thousand refunded tickets were made available to those previously wait-listed for the sold-out show, whilst the remaining 6,000 tickets will be made available to the public and sold to those more willing to welcome Axl/DC to the jungle.

Rose was finally confirmed as the new frontman of AC/DC last month after weeks of speculation. AC/DC announced Johnson’s departure from the group earlier this year after the band’s longtime frontman was forced to stop touring on doctor’s orders.

According to Billboard, Rose met with AC/DC twice in March to discuss his recruitment. The band had reportedly auditioned a string of potential frontman, including singers from AC/DC tribute bands. They also reportedly toyed with the idea of alternating Rose with other sings, including Jet’s Nic Cester.
