To coincide with the launch of his brand new mix tape’93 Rotisserie Gold, one of Australia’s most fascinating hip hop names Ivan Ooze is currently embarking on a national headline tour that will take the young rapper across the country to showcase the tracks featured on his long-awaited 2nd release.

Thanks to dedication to intricate rhymes and a fierce, super-fast flow, Ooze’s popularity has skyrocketed in a rather short amount of time. After killing in the dance tent at Beyond The Valley over NYE, the rapper then set out on a national tour with his childhood heroes Wu-Tang Clan receiving co-signs from the hip hop legends, along with the once in a lifetime chance to lay down verses in the studio with none other than Ghostface Killah.

He’s now celebrating the release of ’93 Rotisserie Gold, a follow up to last year’s mixtape The Social Alien with a massive tour. To get to know Ooze and his music a bit better he’s kindly penned us a track by track run down of the new mixtape which you can check out below.

’93 KFC Rotisserie GOLD

This is the opening track off of the mixtape and it is a mixture of flows, references and style. Pretty much getting the listeners ready and letting them know what they are in for.

Like That, Like This

This is more on the melodic side of things. I’m talking about having fun with your life through the whole song and don’t let people’s opinions of you affect your wellbeing because we are all different and we are all unique,

Drugs Again

‘Drugs Again’ is about the reasons why I take some drugs, what happens when I do and how I view others that do take them. It also tells you why I went back to them.

High With Me

This is another melodic track about two stoners who really only love smoking when they are together but in reality they just love each other’s company.

P.U.I.T.C.A.I.B.T.A

I wrote this track when I was in a club on acid. It was actually sick and a true story of pretty much what I was seeing haha.

Music Therapy (Ft. Dylan Joel)

‘Music Therapy’ features my good friend (and sweet prince) Dylan Joel. We are on our enjoying life tip and genuinely having fun during the whole song. A feel good anthem.

No Breaks (Ft. Dat Nigga Nug)

This joint features my homie Nug from Flint/ATL. The track is about being on our grind and always working because you don’t achieve shit from slacking off. It has a lot of references through the track too.

64 More Bars Of Carnage

’64 More Bars Of Carnage’ is a mixture of battle bars, punchlines and metaphors throughout the whole track. I wanted to just make a track where I could go a little ham and ’64’ was exactly that.

Interlude (Cup Fu*k – Shadez Daddie Ft. Unicorn Tracy)

Fuck Shadez Daddie… Unicorn Tracy is lit doe.

Jackin’ My Style

The title pretty much says it all. It’s about views of dudes trying to rip off my shit and claim they were the ones on it first. There are a whole lot of flows and references in this.

HOOLIGANS

‘HOOLIGANS’ is a party starter/let’s all get drunk and accidentally hurt ourselves doing something stupid vibe.

BAP U REMIX

‘BAP U’ is on the same vibe as ‘HOOLIGANS’ but more on the dance side. Couple of fast flows in here and just a heap of fun.

#PLATOON

‘#PLATOON’ basically states what my rap is like, why fans like it and where I’m heading. Its produced by NASTYNASTY so you know it’s gonna be a banger.

Imagination

This is the last joint on the mixtape and is all about what I think about in my imagination. My imagination is also the main element of where my style evolves from and the track states you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
