As we’ve previously mentioned, beloved and iconic Australian children’s television staple Play School is celebrating an incredible 50 years on the air and music is a big part of the festivities.

For one thing, there’s going to be an Aussie rock episode of Play School, featuring appearances from the likes of Dan Sultan, former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning, and members of You Am I.

Now, Play School have partnered with triple j and triple j Unearthed to invite bedroom producers and savvy remixes to put their own spin on the immortal theme to the after-school staple.

You can now download the stems to ‘There’s a Bear in There’ and remix your very own childhood memories. The best remixes, whether they be bangers or atmospheric chill-out tunes, will be played on triple j.

Finally, the winner of the competition will be flown to Sydney to visit the Play School set and take part in a special one-on-one triple j workshop with singer, producer, and triple j host KLP.

KLP’s already gone and done her own take on the Play School theme, which you can check out here in addition to her top five remixing tips before create your own remix and upload it to triple j Unearthed.

Entries must be uploaded to your Unearthed artist page by midnight Sunday, 29th May – make sure you put #playschoolremix in the title. Finalists will be decided by Thursday, 2nd June and the winner will be announced Thursday, 9th June.
