Brisbane indie outfit Ball Park Music are one of Australia’s best loved young bands. A staple on the live circuit, they’re just as well known for their peppy and vibrant live performances as their triple j-favoured power pop tunes.

But they’re not just one of our favourite Aussie music prospects, they also apparently have a fan in one Usher Terry Raymond IV, whom you may know simply as Usher, the R&B superstar behind classic slow jams like ‘U Got It Bad‘.

The singer recently Snapchatted footage of himself living the high life (no pun intended), making his way across the Mediterranean in a helicopter on his way to enjoy the glitz and glamour of the world famous Cannes Film Festival.

So what tunes does Usher use to get his rotors spinning? Why, Ball Park Music’s ‘It’s Nice to Be Alive‘ of course. The sounds of Ball Park Music’s 2011 single off their album Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs can distinctly be heard in the background.

Sure, it could be the helicopter pilot’s music or just the local Cannes radio, but the ‘Yeah’ hit-maker definitely seems to be vibing on frontman Sam Cromack’s deftly crafted pop melodies and his tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
