Violent Soho are currently ripping it up with the boys from DZ Deathrays and Dune Rats on their national WACO tour, which has seen every single one of its dates completely sell out.

Now they have even more reason to celebrate with the news that their breakout single ‘Covered in Chrome’ has nabbed a Gold accreditation from ARIA, which is given after 35,000+ sales.

The tune was the second to be lifted from the band’s acclaimed third record, Hungry Ghost, which has also been certified Gold and the accolade bodes well for the future of Aussie rock.

The band recently completed a string of hometown shows in Brisbane, followed by a run of Melbourne shows, and will be finishing up with dates in Adelaide, Perth, and Sydney this month.

Then it’s on to Splendour In The Grass and their first North American tour in six years. The band are at the top of their game right now, so Stateside fans should prepare themselves.

The band previously lived in Brooklyn whilst signed to Thurston Moore’s label Ecstatic Peace! and have toured the States with Dinosaur Jr, Built To Spill, Alice in Chains, and The Bronx.

The band are marking the success of the WACO Tour with the release of the latest single to be pulled from their chart-topping fourth record, ‘So Sentimental’.
