After uploading his home-recorded debut EP to Bandcamp in 2012, D.D Dumbo, real name Oliver Hugh Perry, has quickly become one of Australia’s most cherished young singer-songwriters and he’s now unveiled a brand new single, ‘Satan’.

His first new music in more than two years, ‘Satan’ was premiered last night on triple j and also received a nod on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show overnight. It comes complete with a eye-catching music video courtesy of director Jim Elson.

The clip was shot around Perry’s hometown of Castlemaine, the salt plains of north-west Victoria, and “a derelict swimming pool in a tiny town near the Grampian Ranges”, making for an “iconically Australian” but “otherworldly” video.

“I think it’s easy to take these environments for granted when you grow up there, so it was an exciting process to ‘discover’ them again in a different way,” Elson said in a statement. Check out the stunning clip below.
