Many complain that modern EDM is formulaic and predictable, with punters and producers alike overly focused on the ubiquitous and inevitable ‘drop’, which has single-handedly sucked the life out of electronic music.

Mashd N Kutcher couldn’t disagree more. In fact, they’ve been throwing curve balls at their punters for some time now. That is, they’ve been mercilessly trolling them every opportunity they get.

They first pulled off the feat back in July last year. The crowd gathered in a large live music venue was expecting the epic bass drop from Timmy Trumpet’s EDM hit ‘Freaks’, but were instead hit with Spandau Ballet’s ‘True’.

Now they’ve repeated the feat with another gig, another crowd, and another song. Make your downtown and check it out below, because it may be one of the most epic trolls of the year so far.
