Port Macquarie is now officially home to one of the best music shops in the world. Port Mac Guitars has been selected as one of the NAMM Top 100 Dealers in the World, a prestigious countdown of the globe’s top music retailers.
Port Mac Guitars was the only Australian entry in the list and one of only eight outside of the United States. Naturally the owners of the little shop that could couldn’t be more stoked and will be heading to Nashville for the ceremony.
“We are very proud to announce that we have been selected as one of the NAMM Top 100 Dealers in the World. We will be heading to the awards ceremony in Nashville in June where we will be in the running for a Best in Category Award and Dealer of the Year Award,” the owners wrote.
“We’d like to shout out a big thanks to you, our customers for growing with us over the years. You guys are the reason why we do what we do!” The shop even got props from NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond.
“Port Mac Guitars was selected by a discerning panel of judges as one of the very best among music retailers,” said Mr Lamond, whose organisations’s award ceremony was dubbed the ‘retail Oscars’ by Music Inc magazine.
“This special recognition signifies Port Mac Guitars commitment to providing an excellent retail experience for their customers, helping people of all ages discover the joys and benefits of making music, and to fostering a positive musical experience for their community at large.”
The prestigious NAMM Top 100 Dealers in the World list is determined by an independent panel of judges, who review hundreds of submissions that are rated across categories that include “customer service, music advocacy, store design, and promotions”.
Port Mac Guitars is also in the running to receive a “Best Of” Award recognizing stand-out achievement in Store Turnaround, Customer Service, Store Design, Marketing and Sales Promotion, Online Engagement, and more.
