Melbourne based alternative R&B singer/songwriter Xylo Aria is today unveiling her stunning new single ‘Paradigm’ which features production by the very talented Elliott Treves. The single sees Xylo and Elliott combine elements of electro, acoustic, trip hop and other genre elements to create a lively and brooding take on modern contemporary soul.

From a young age Xylo’s interest in music was ignited through constant exposure to classical Indian Carnatic music. Encouraged and nurtured by her grandmother, Xylo interest slowly grew into an obsession and expanded to include a number of different musical styles.

Xylo explains the importance of her grandmother on her musical development “One of my biggest inspirations for my music is my grandma. She taught me basics of Indian Carnatic music from an early ages and although that is completely different to what I mean now I think it has a huge influence in my music.

“In her time, a career in music was not a respectable one and I feel she has always been a little bitter than she did not have the opportunities we have. I would love to discuss this further and also new tracks I am currently working on and my upcoming release of my single ‘Paradigm'”
