Flume is gearing up to drop his highly anticipated sophomore album, Skin, this week and has been busy sharing snippets of the new album with his fans via social media.

As we reported yesterday, the 24-year-old producer recently confessed to triple j that he was forced to change up his sound on the new LP because of all the Flume copycats out there.

As a result, Skin is a highly experimental affair and as Flume recently revealed on Facebook, even includes his own debut as a vocalist on a few of the songs on the album.

Taking to his official Facebook page, Flume shared an excerpt of a track titled ‘3’, on which he sings… although, it’s more like yelping and howling than strict singing.

“This is one of the few songs on the record that I sing on,” he wrote. “I recorded the vocal through my laptop mic. I was going to re-record it, but then I grew to love the shittyness of it.”

Are Flume’s vocals on ‘3’ shitty? We’ll let you decide for yourself below and just say that they are certainly interesting. As for that instrumental, that’s just pure fire all the way.
