The internet has a way of unearthing things that perhaps were best left lost and forgotten. Case in point, someone recently managed to acquire Victoria Beckham’s lost hip-hop album.

According to Digital Spy, the former Posh Spice recorded two complete studio albums — Open Your Eyes and Come Together — back in 2003 but each was shelved after her solo debut was a flop.

Apparently, a demo disc containing songs Beckham had recorded for the albums was being flogged on eBay last month, which led to the leak of several more tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud.

They’re not very good. That is to say, they’re not good at all. You can tell the singer is going for that R&B with a hip-hop edge sound beloved by Timbaland, but it just falls flat.

And it’s not like Beckham didn’t have good collaborators for the material. Most of the tracks were co-written and produced by Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash.

There’s also collaborations with hip-hop icons like veteran gangster rap duo M.O.P. and late Wu-Tang Clan member Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Check out some choice excerpts below.
