The latest addition to Australia’s busy music festival calendar is Shakafest, which is set to take over the Gold Coast this August with a killer lineup packed with some of our biggest local names in hip-hop and rock.
Shakafest will be a celebration of “all things street, skate and music”, with appearances from the likes of Dune Rats, Drapht, Spit Syndicate, The Vanns, Von Villains, Ivey, and many more.
In addition to the sick music lineup, there’ll also be DJs, graffiti art, as well as what we’re being promised is “a massive half pipe with all round skaters to create the ultimate skate demo”.
“Shakafest aims to combine all of the Gold Coasts most loved entertainment industries into one unique mini festival by bringing in the skate demo, a mixed genre of live bands and DJ’s, live graffiti art and stalls,” said Wedge Head Events owner Tamie Bennett.
“We are creating an experience that will appeal to so many different scenes on the coast; Shakafest will draw in all walks of life and expose people to new genres of music, sports and art.” Check all the details below.
