Bernard Fanning has unveiled ‘Wasting Time’, the first single from Civil Dusk, the former Powderfinger frontman’s eagerly awaited third solo album, which will be followed by a second instalment, Brutal Dawn, early next year.

Civil Dusk, the first part of Fanning’s ambitious two-part project, was recorded at La Cueva Studios, the new custom built studio Fanning created in NSW’s Byron Bay with long-time producer and friend Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam).

Fanning finished recording with DiDia during Easter and the completed project is some of Fanning’s finest work in years, taking the songwriter behind some of Australia’s most enduring rock songs to new heights of artistic expression.

Civil Dusk is set for release 5th August via Dew Process / UMA and you can now watch the video for ‘Wasting Time’, a meditation on “the blindness that obsession brings”, below.
