Australia’s YouTube-based moral compass, friendlyjordies, is known for tackling Australia’s most pertinent socio-political issues with his famed irreverence and his cast of satirical characters (we all have our favourite).

He absolutely savaged NSW Premier Mike Baird and the lockout laws a few months back and now he’s taken on one of his biggest foes yet – triple j listeners, which if you’re reading this, very likely includes you.

So what’s friendlyjordies’ beef? About a month ago triple j’s current affairs program Hack published the results of a survey involving 10,000 young Australians, 44 percent of whom saw no difference between the major parties.

This has been a stick in friendlyjordies’ craw for some time and he’s particularly incensed because, as he notes, most triple j listeners can easily tell the difference between Pond and Tame Impala, who share some of the same band members.

The same triple j survey also found that the vast majority of respondents don’t believe there are any politicians working in the best interests of young people. He’d expect that sort of thing from Nova listeners, not triple j fans.
