Diplo has gone and confirmed everything we thought about superstar DJs and he’s done it with the help of James Van Der Beek, whom you probably know from the Crying Dawson meme, which was actually based on a popular TV show he was the star of.

In a new promo for Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party festival, Van Der Beek plays Diplo and takes us through a day in the life of the Major Lazer chief, which includes awaking to the sounds of a professional harp player before checking in with your professional twerkers.

Of course, he remains completely down to earth. “You know, people come up to me all the time, they say, ‘Diplo, man, your life must be crazy!’ Nah. It’s just life, fam,” he explains in the clip. “Ain’t no different than y’all’s.”

You can check out the recently unveiled and viral-bound clip below and make sure you stay tuned for Van Der Beek a.k.a. Diplo’s epic battle against a swarm of ninjas at the end. It’s the best festival promo we’ve seen in quite some time.
