Double J have just taken us on a serious nostalgia trip, transporting us back in time to those comforting evenings of music quizzing and off-the-cuff wisecracks on the classic Spicks & Specks.

Myf Warhurst rekindled her competitive rivalry with former opposing captain Alan Brough as he joined her as a co-host on her own show, hoping to defend his music trivia title.

Despite losing to her adversary more often than she won over their seven years together, Myf swears she isn’t too bitter as the pair reminisce about their long tenure on the show – including Myf’s at-times shocking hairstyles.

While we were sad to see the show come to an end back in the day, the hosts credit the decision to wrap the show up before they were begging “Oh God, someone kill us!”, leaving the viewers with fond memories.

As Alan points out, a lot of us grew up with this pair battling it out on the telly, picking up a bag of music trivia along the way. It’s nice to hear the pair bickering and bantering again, if only for one more quiz.
