Adelaide’s Fat Controller already had a lot going for it. Its name is taken from a character on a beloved television series from our childhoods and literally has a neon Fat Controller inside.

It’s also managed to host some pretty awesome gigs and parties despite only being open a short time. It’s quickly become a much esteemed part of the local Adelaide nightlife fabric.

And now it’s also home to Australia’s greatest band green room. Management recently had legendary artist Steen Jones (Vans, Red Bull, New Era) give the green room a sweet makeover.

Sitting below Jones’s mural is a barber chair, which is an odd addition to a venue’s backstage area, until you learn that the Fat Controller now has a resident barber who will cut and shave any artist for free.

Yes, the next time your band rolls through the Fat Controller, you’ll be taking the stage with a fresh do and perfectly manicured beard or moustache. Coolest green room in Australia? We think so.
