Two of Australia’s most respected live music spaces, the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney and Brisbane’s Woolly Mammoth, have joined forces, forging a partnership as exciting for the local industry as it is for the two venues.

Following the recent dissolution of the Venue Collective, the two venues, each at the forefront of their respective scenes, will be collaborating “to bolster the live music touring circuit for the East Coast”.

Mark Gerber has booked the Oxford Art Factory since 2007, growing it into one of the most respected mid-sized venues in the country and he will be applying the same level of acumen and experience to the Woolly Mammoth.

“[OAF] have been setting the bar very high for live music over the past 9 years and have a stellar reputation. We are excited to be partnering with them to bring some of that quality and reputation in live production to the people of Brisbane,” said Woolly Mammoth’s Lachlan Bird.

Meanwhile, Gerber himself added, “OAF is now able to maintain a presence further north than ever before and looks forward to collaborating many upcoming tours and events.”

Woolly Mammoth’s in-house Music and Events Booker, Uda Widanapathirana, will be assisting with local publicity and event co-ordination, ensuring both venues have a well-oiled machine behind the scenes and can continue to deliver great gigs.
