NAIDOC Week is held in the first full week of July and is a time to celebrate this country’s Aboriginal history, culture, and the achievements of Australia’s Indigenous people and all this week triple j has been getting in on the festivities.

The national youth broadcaster recently announced Kuren, aka 18-year-old producer Curtis Kennedy of the Wiradjuri people, as the winner of their triple j Unearthed NIMAs competition and Kennedy will now perform at the National Indigenous Music Awards.

This morning, they invited Brisbane Indigenous artist Robbie Miller into the studio to perform a heartfelt Like A Version cover of ODESZA’s ‘Say My Name’ which will give you goosebumps with its simple, layered instrumentation and Miller’s haunting vocals.

As we’ve previously noted, this year’s Like A Version series has gotten off to an interesting start – we’ve seen a heart-wrenching David Bowie cover, an ambitious mash-up from this year’s Hottest 100 winners, a deeply divisive cover of a huge hit from 2015, and a cover that showed us what Like A Version is meant to be.
